Deadline Extended for Income Statement Submission

Kathmandu: The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) under Nepal’s Ministry of Finance has announced an extension of the deadline for submitting income statements. According to the notice, individuals whose annual income exceeds NPR 4 million or whose turnover surpasses NPR 10 million are required to file their income details within three months of the fiscal year’s end.
Previously, the deadline was set for Ashwin 16, 2081 (early October), but due to technical issues and system-related challenges, the IRD has extended the submission period. Taxpayers can now submit their income statements until Kartik 30, 2081 (mid-November) without facing penalties.
The department clarified that the Integrated Tax System (ITS) will automatically update the extended deadline for all relevant taxpayers. Businesses and individuals are urged to complete their filings promptly to avoid last-minute complications.
For further details, taxpayers can visit the official IRD website or contact their nearest tax office.
